The TCM-550XL Compact Tactical Weapon-Mounted Light uses a super-bright LED rated at 550 lumens working in conjunction with a precision-engineered total internal reflection (TIR) lens to create a bright white beam of light rated at 136 meters. This weapon light features completely ambidextrous and intuitive rear-facing toggle switches on each side of the light to operate the momentary-on and constant-on lighting modes. The housing of the TCM-550XL is constructed from aircraft-grade 6061-T6 Aluminum with a polymer rear housing. Includes four handgun-specific modular rail inserts (pre-configured with C1 insert for Glock pistols), two spare Allen screws, an Allen wrench, and one CR123 Lithium battery.

I did not want one of those weak, toy like tiny lights that most companies make for our sub-compact beauties. Mine is a Glock 43X MOS. I chose the Nightstick 550 XLS, and I new I could make it work on my Glock with very little effort. I simply came up with the perfect shim to add to the mounting rail, and the light fits solid as a rock.
This light is awesome! I love the easy install battery. I did not want to fool around with charging batteries. The easy on- off slight twist of the lens cap guards against accidental turn on in storage. The left and right operational levers right at the trigger guard are smooth and easy to operate. Three easy modes to choose from.. stay on... on off at will... and the effective strobe if desired are awesome! The build quality of this light solid and rugged. This light gives me way more of what I want, than the other overpriced competitors. Great job Bayco on your Nightsticks. The competition, is soon going to know what hit them. ?

This light is obviously a competitor to the Streamlight TLR-7A. This light beats the Streamlight in every department in my opinion. It comes with the screw retainer ring already installed (TLR-7A doesn't and is a pain to install), comes with a fully charged battery from the factory (most TLR-7A's don't according to reviews), the light out put is whiter and appears to flood more indoors and throw more outdoors than TLR-7A.
The best feature in my opinion is the lockout feature, which TLR-7A also has, but Nightsticks' application of this feature is far superior. Its very tactile and consistent, with markings stating "on and off." The TLR-7A feels as if you are about to strip the threading when activating this feature (very poorly executed). The price of the Nightstick TCM-550XLS is very affordable for the average joe, unlike the TLR-7A which can often be $50-$70 more. I have both lights and I've been carrying the TCM-550XLS since launch with zero issues. It's a phenomenal light for the money, you can't get better in the market currently.
The strobe feature is only activated within the momentary mode and cannot be left on constant. This might be a con for some. Get this light and enjoy affordable and a well built weapon light that stacks up better than most big league lights on the market.
I got the TCM-550XLS with strobe and I love it. It is on my glock 45 gen 5. Bright as can be lights my whole house up also good enough to see good distance outside at night. Thank great productChris (03/2020)
I have literally one for each of my semi-auto handguns. These are the best, practical, weapon mounted light for the CCW person. Plenty of light for the home defense weapon too. The features on this light are as good as much more expensive, and bigger named lights. This light is compact and user friendly. Rugged too. I carry one every single day...

Compact, 550 lumens and just 2.5 ounces makes the TCM-550XL a dream for every day carry. I train often on an outdoor range with a lot of holster draws as well as hundred of dry draws per week, so my gear sees heavy use. The 550XL is as solid as a rock and the controls are worlds better than the competition. My TLR-1HL has officially been placed on backup duty.Brian (07/02/2019)
I'm a holster maker and I had a customer that wanted a holster built with a Nightstick light. I didn't have one so, I acquired one and....it was love at first light! (pun intended!) Seriously, this small light has all the functionality of much larger and much more expensive lights. The ONLY drawback is availability. Locating a distributor in my area is a chore. Hopefully the news of this light will get out FAST and more distributors will come online quickly. Seriously, I need one of these for each of my handguns. I can make holsters with them that work with or without the light. Awesome if you ask me!
Great product, THANKS!
